Wendy Capili-Wilkie is a Filipina based in Palau for the past eight years.  She is an OB-GYN/General Practitioner who works at the local private clinic.   She was convinced by her then boyfriend (and now husband), James, to get get an open water certification in 2004, and since then, she was hooked, and never got tired of diving provided she has the time.  Wendy started out with a simple point and shoot in 2004, but finally upgraded to shooting with a Nikon DSLR late 2008.  Palau is a wonderful playground for underwater photographers, and has provided Wendy with fantastic photo opportunities and encounters with big fish. She travels yearly to the Philippines, where she gets her macro fix underwater.  She contributes to Getty Images and the Sam's Tours blog.
