Wowie Wong held his first underwater digital camera in 2002, shortly after he was certified as an Open Water diver. He went into underwater photography for the purpose of sharing pictures among his friends to get them to scuba dive with him. Little did he know that it would be one of his greatest fascinations. In 2010, Wowie won in the Association of Southeast Asian Tourism Awards (ASEANTA) under the category of Best Tourism Photo that featured Moalboal, Cebu’s Sardine Run through Philippine Airline’s inflight magazine, Mabuhay.  Wowie also won Silver Award for the 1st Asian Underwater Federation Photography Championships’ Wide Angle with Diver category in 2011.  His work has been featured in different magazines and exhibits.
Wowie’s passion for this hobby had made him one of the Network of Underwater Digital Imagers’ (NUDI) co-founder and is currently its marketing lead.
