UWP: PAOLO ISGRO

Paolo Isgro lives in Belluno (Italy) in the Dolomites National Park, one of the most suggestive alpine locations in the world. Although he lives on the mountains and is fond of nature Paolo has been limited by his altitude sickness and therefore when he tried diving in 2002 he was immediately locked in.

Paolo is a scuba diver and has recently certified in free diving, he tries to travel as much as possible and he is keen to explore distant remote locations.

His work is accessible online on flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/paolobl65/albums

Paolo has recently participated to a number of underwater photography competition, among his latest results:

Ocean Art 2019: 1 and 3 in the Super Macro category

Underwater Phographer of the Year 2020 2nd in behaviour category

Deep Visions 2019 1st in cetacean category

Deep Visions 2019 2nd in Macro category

UWP: ALEX DAWSON

Underwater photographer Alex Dawson.

Alex specializes in underwater wrecks and cave diving, capturing moments we rarely see ourselves.

“I find a lot of inspiration in nature photography, but I also like to try new things that have never been shot before, and that takes a lot of thinking and planning before I can try it underwater.”

Alex currently shoots with the Z 7II and has found the switch from the D850 very easy.

“I feel like the Z 7II is extremely similar to the Nikon D850 I’ve used for the past 3.5 years and it’s at least equally good or better since it’s much better at video.”

Here are his top three shooting tips you may find useful:

Know your environment and conditions well.

Make sure you use the right gear especially shooing in low light environments.

Put a lot of energy in developing your RAW development skills so you can take the full advantage in post processing of what these cameras can capture.
